Second Opinion

On Wednesday we went for Hannah's second opinion for her eyes. The appointment went well...as well as it could be. They confirmed for us that Hannah has Duane Syndrome in her left eye. He (and the rest of the doctors at Children's Mercy) were all very positive and tried to reassure us that Hannah would be just fine. The condition is not degenerative - and really all we can do is to watch her head tilt to see if it gets more pronounced. If it does she may eventually need to have surgery. This doctor was in the Opthamology clinic at Children's Mercy and we saw many children with very severe problems, which was very sad - but I think helped remind us once again how lucky we are!
