Black Beans...mmmmm

Saturday night we got some carry out from Salty Iguana. We discovered that Hannah loves black beans. She couldn't get enough of them...and when she was done she looked a little like she'd just eaten some dirt. She was cracking us up. Here's a few pics...and a video of her eating some beans (and shaking her head at us).

Bath time funnies...

Hannah enjoys bath time - with the exception of when it comes time to rinse her hair. Then she tries pretty much escape from the tub. Here are some cute pics of her in her little tub (which looks little with our growing little girl in it). Check out her teeth!

Valentine's Day

So these are a week or so late...but too cute not to post. These are a few pics of Hannah on Valentine's Day. She was sporting her Stella McCartney "I Love You" shirt and jeans (thanks Aunt Alicia and Uncle Steve). We hung out during the day - and then Hannah got to hang out with Grammy, Papa and her cousins that night while we went to dinner.

Papa

It has been a tough last couple of weeks. Last week we said goodbye to Papa, my grandpa. He passed away at home the Sunday before. We all knew the end was coming - but no amount of warning really ever prepares you to say goodbye. From his somewhat far fetched stories...which we, and he, often called "sputting" (the best by far was him telling his kids that he got his "hair shot off in the war") - to the way in which he never met a stranger - Papa was truly one of a kind. Most of my memories growing up involve Papa - and I feel fortunate to have had him in my life for so long, and so thankful that he could be a part of Hannah's life too.

Here's a link to his obituary - http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/kansascity/obituary.aspx?n=adolph-joseph-bollig&pid=139548494

Here's a picture of Papa and I at the old County Fair grocery store.
I think we won $10 in some contest for it.

Papa loved Hannah...and loved talking to "that baby."
She always brightened up his day!
