At the Farm

Last weekend we headed out to the Deanna Rose Farmstead with the kids and Grammy. The weather was great and the kids had a fun time checking everything out. Hannah went on her first pony ride...and got to feed the goats. Alex worked on his skill of running around --- or away from us every chance he got.
Heading in...

"More cow bell...."

Hannah getting ready for her pony ride.

She's holding on for dear life...

All finished...way to go cowgirl.

Kind of a grumpy little flower...

And then the happy little flower...

Trying to get a nice picture with daddy

And then another with mommy...neither are framers...ha.

Cute...

They enjoyed the playground at the end...

Hannah waited a long time to ride the pink piggie.

An ice cream cone for the big girl!

Alex and daddy played while Hannah had her ice cream treat.

4th of July

Here are some pics from the 4th of July celebrations this year. Hannah's school had a bike parade the day before the 4th. She was so excited. We decorated her bike and she was all bedazzled for the occasion. It was superhot...but she made it. Then on the 4th we went out to Pleasant Hill for some fun with the family...and then over to my mom's for dinner (we watched fireworks the night before...the kids weren't all that impressed just yet).

Ready to roll.

Cheesing for the camera.

She did it...she got a little hot so we had to modify the hairdo to cool her down.

Alex and his daddy.

Playing in the slip-n-slide.

Mother's Day

I had a very nice Mother's day. We went to church and then met my family at The Tavern in Prairie Village for brunch. Then it was off to Lee's Summit to visit with John's family. We ended the day with some truffle fries at BRGR (clearly my diet was off this day). Feel blessed to have such a great family!

Mom and I at the Tavern in Prairie Village.

Me and the kiddos.

"Cheese..."

Trying to take a pic with GaGa.

Catching up...

So it has been a wacky past few months/weeks...so sorry for not posting. The Storey household has had it's fair share of visits to the doctor recently. We've had a case of hand foot and mouth (HC), roseola (AJ), eye injury (JPS), and broken arm (AJ)...just to name a few on the list - and I think we may be on the second case of roseola (HC). But moving on and getting ready for a busy and fun summer. And...glad to have Grammy and Papa back.

Grammy and PaPa's pool is officially open. Addy's birthday party.

Ahh...happy Father's day! At least John managed to look at the camera.

Running...just running.

Hannah decided not to smile.

Alex showing off his busted bottom lip.

Barbie time...

Hannah the dancer

At the end of May, Hannah performed in her very first dance recital. As she would say...she was a "star". They performed to Teddy Bear Picnic (or "pic-i-nic" as Hannah would say). She loved it.

Taking a bow before the show.

An action photo.

Sitting on stage with all of the dancers.

With her teacher Miss Tuesday.

At her last dance class...we got to sit in and watch.

Guess what song they were dancing to..."Somewhere over the rainbow" of course.

Easter

After church on Easter, we had my family (and Uncle Steve) over for brunch. The weather was great - and everyone had a nice time. Alex entertained by talking while everyone was eating - and showing off all the words that he can say - most notably "happy". After brunch we had an Easter egg hunt for the kiddos. Alex found one egg (an Elmo egg) and then he was done. Hannah needed 2 baskets to carry all of her eggs. Then Hannah entertained us by taking Alex for a ride in her pink Mustang.

The Easter bunny brought some party glasses.

All dressed up in their Sunday best.

Hannah on the hunt for some more eggs.

Alex - running away from the Easter egg hunt.

Pretty girl.

Cute boy.

See ya later kids...

Alex is probably kicking it into "turbo"
