Snake Saturday

Saturday afternoon we decided to take the kids to the Snake Saturday parade in Northtowne. Hannah wasn't all that sure about what was going on at the time...but if you'd ask her about it today - she'd tell you all about it and act like she loved it. It was nice to get out and enjoy some warmer weather.
Check out the ride...first time using the double stroller
Daddy helped Hannah see the action
We met up with cousins Addy and Macey

Goodbye GaGa

Last Thursday we said goodbye to my grandma - known to Hannah as GaGa (she calls my mom and grandma both GaGa actually). Grandma was 94 years old - and although Alzheimer's disease robbed her of her last days, she still accomplished a great many things over the years. At her visitation, some woman talked about the fact that grandma was "ahead of her" time...and when I stopped to think about it, she really was. She worked all of her life, many times two jobs. She raised 3 children (she even had them a little later in life than was popular at that time) - all of which are well educated and successful. And no matter how busy she was - she always made time to do the things she enjoyed like cooking, sewing, or even playing cards. She was a huge influence on me growing up - and I am just glad that she got to meet my little ones. She will be missed.

Alex's Baptism

Alex was baptized this Saturday. He did a great job and actually slept through the part where the priest pours the water over his head...and was even good when he walked him around the church and sang to him. We had family and friends over after - and he was a bit tired of partying by then. After getting him settled down - he did sleep through the entire night...must have been the holy water!

The little man in his all white gear...he's very serious.

Check out my hat.
Such a cute little face.

Godparents - Great Aunt Judy and Uncle Steve

Somebody was really interested in the water.

Rice Cereal

Last week we decided it was time to add rice cereal to Alex's diet..the big little man just wasn't ever getting full. He's still mastering the art of eating from the spoon - but I have a feeling he'll get the hang of it very soon. Here are a few pics of his first bites.

More please...

Birthday Party

Saturday afternoon we had our families over to celebrate Hannah's 2nd birthday with a party. Hannah was especially excited to see and play with her cousins...and of course never stopped partying until it was time to go to bed. Alex missed the party unfortunately, he was upstairs sleeping through the whole thing. Hannah had a great time - thanks everyone!

January Birthdays - Round 2

A few Sundays ago we got together to celebrate the send round of January birthdays - my Mom's, Aunt Judy and Uncle Richard's. Alex showed off his crying skills (he had a bit of a stomach ache) - and Hannah showed off her basketball and piano skills.
