Almost walking...

Thursday night while I was headed home from Chicago - Hannah decided that she'd finally start walking behind some of her walker toys. John took this video of her walking behind her lion (which we call "Roar" ...because it roars). She's just about ready to take off on her own.

First Birthday Party: Take Two

This Saturday we had our friends (and their kiddos) over to celebrate Hannah's birthday. There were lots of people (and kids)...but it was so nice to get to see everyone. Hannah was again a good sport and made it through the whole party - and the after party (where some people stayed to watch the KU/KState game --- go Jayhawks!). Hannah had the biggest smile on her face when everyone was singing "happy birthday" to her -- it lit up the room!

First Birthday Party: Take One

This Saturday we had our families over to celebrate Hannah's first birthday. Hannah seemed to have a good time and didn't mind being the center of attention at all (he he). She did get a little bored while opening presents and decided that the fireplace was way more exciting than helping open her gifts (it was pretty funny though!). When it came time for cake - she was well prepared for the singing, but didn't quite get too into the cake. She had more fun taking hunks of icing off and passing them to her great grandma. We were so glad that everyone was able to join us. Next up...the real birthday on Wednesday and a birthday celebration with friends on Saturday. The birthday week continues (she gets that from her mom!).

Let the January Birthday Celebrations Begin

This Sunday we got together to celebrate Grandma and David's birthdays (don't be confused by the photo...grandma is really 93 and David is 29). As you can see, Hannah enjoyed dancing to her uncle David's cards...and Hannah enjoyed entertaining Papa.

Party PJs

Santa brought Hannah these cute Paul Frank monkey PJs for Christmas. Hannah loves them...however I have dubbed them her party PJs because both nights she wore them this weekend she refused to go to bed until 10:30.

Little helper

Hannah has started to really take an interest in the kitchen these days. Her favorite new toys are the dishwasher and the light switch for the oven.

Driving the Schoolbus

Hannah's great grandma Cameron got her this Little People schoolbus that you can either push (and walk behind) or ride/drive. As you can see...Hannah prefers to drive it. She's not quite ready for the road yet - she can only go in reverse...and she is not real graceful getting off of it. Pretty entertaining!
