Rock Chalk Jayhawk....

Friday night we went to the KU Pep Rally in Corinth Square. It was a good time (although a bit hot). Hannah was excited to get to see all of the Jayhawks. And then somehow she and I ended up getting a pic with Bill Self. Funny part was...I almost had him sign her shirt because I didn't know if John was close enough to get a pic. But we got one in the end. Hannah loved getting to party-it-up with all the other kiddos. 

David and Marie's Wedding

Last weekend was David and Marie's wedding. It was a great time...and we enjoyed celebrating with friends and family. Congrats to the newlyweds! Here are a few pics from the festivities. 

Swimming Lessons

Last month we took swimming lessons with the kids (StarTots and StarBabies). The kids did great...and it was actually a good time to take them since the weather was so hot. Not sure that they really learned all that much - but it was fun just to get them in the water. Here are a few cute pics.

Parties and the pool

The first few pics are of Alex and Hannah at Lexi and Luke's birthday extravaganza. It was at a gym, so Hannah had a great time bouncing on the big trampoline. Not much for Alex to do just yet...but he did get to check out the swings for the first time. Also this month...we took swimming lessons with the kids (more pics to come...sorry...not uploaded yet). Not sure how much they really learned - but at least it finally got us to the pool this summer!

4th of July

Little behind on my blogging...catching up for July. Here are some pics from the 4th. We had a great day with family. We spent the afternoon with John's family at his Aunt Robin's house and then spent the night at GaGa's house. We watched some fireworks...but it got a little too late and loud for the little ones - so we missed the big show (sorry Uncle David).

Party Pics

We had a few birthday parties last week. Cousin Addalyn celebrated her 5th birthday at Pizza Street. The kids had a great time playing in the game room after dinner. Then Saturday afternoon, my friend Lisa threw her son Brady a 2nd birthday party. They had baby pools and sprinklers...and although it actually wasn't that hot that afternoon - the kids didn't seem to mind (Hannah's lips were blue).

First Day

Last Tuesday Hannah started school at Old Mission (where I actually went to pre-school). Day one went pretty smoothly. The next few drop offs were a little rough...and everyone is still adjusting at this point. Hannah likes her teacher (Miss Ebony) and seems to be learning some new things. Her new favorite phrase is "ah man..."...and I am sure that is only the beginning. 

I couldn't get her to look at me...apparently I am already the embarrassing mom.
