Party Pics

We had a few birthday parties last week. Cousin Addalyn celebrated her 5th birthday at Pizza Street. The kids had a great time playing in the game room after dinner. Then Saturday afternoon, my friend Lisa threw her son Brady a 2nd birthday party. They had baby pools and sprinklers...and although it actually wasn't that hot that afternoon - the kids didn't seem to mind (Hannah's lips were blue).
Alex and Aunt Angela...he actually didn't spit up on her!

A little game of pop-a-shot.

Kinda thinking she may need a helmet.

Addy and Macey (aka Addy-Macey) playing on the roller coaster game.

Hannah and Brady playing in the pool.

Alex wasn't quite ready to party yet when we arrived.

Hannah and Elliotte enjoying the ride.

First Day

Last Tuesday Hannah started school at Old Mission (where I actually went to pre-school). Day one went pretty smoothly. The next few drop offs were a little rough...and everyone is still adjusting at this point. Hannah likes her teacher (Miss Ebony) and seems to be learning some new things. Her new favorite phrase is "ah man..."...and I am sure that is only the beginning.

I couldn't get her to look at me...apparently I am already the embarrassing mom.

Hannah's trip to the hair salon

A few weeks ago we took Hannah to get a haircut (really just a trim). It was her first trip to the salon. We took her to a kid friendly place...and as you can see...she didn't mind the haircut part because she was too excited about sitting in the Barbie Jeep. When she was done she actually sat in pretty much all of the chairs.

Getting started.

All done...ready to drive home in the jeep.

Play date with Charlie

Friday night we headed a few blocks over to have dinner with our friends the Colemans (Carla, Ryan and Charlie). Charlie is actually a few days older than Alex - so we thought it would be fun to see how they played together. As you can see Alex looked a bit like a tank compared to Charlie...but it was super cute to watch them play. Hannah was a good big sis and kept passing them toys.

Kids playing

Just some pics of the kids playing over the last few weeks. Hannah is really starting to user her imagination - and it is so cute and funny. She loves to pretend to talk on the phone in her kitchen. The conversations that she has are just hysterical.

Here's Hannah "pretend" calling GaGa to let her know what she's doing.
Alex got his first two teeth two Sundays ago. Didn't quite get them to show in this pic.
Hannah and "Trebor" playing at Grammy and Papa's house.
Alex doing some serious rolling.
Hannah practicing dressing her Emma doll.

Mother's Day

Had a great Mother's Day a few weeks ago. We convinced Mom to go to church with us in the morning (sorry again Mom that it lasted so long!). We headed to Tanner's for some lunch - and then had and afternoon at home with the kiddos. Then we headed to Mom's where Hannah got to play with Chloe's little bunny rabbit Oreo. Hannah was pretty cute with the rabbit...but she can't really be trusted with the leash (she let him run away a few times). Great mother's day with the kiddos!

Mom, Hannah and I at Tanners...the red tint is from a beer sign - ha!
The kids clearly are saying..."sure mommy...we will smile for a picture with you."

Mommy and big Al
Don't be fooled by this pic...she let go of the leash and let go under the deck.

Hannah's not so sure about what to do next.

Hoppy Easter!

Of course these are a little belated, but here are some pics from Easter. Both kids were actually pretty good during church (Hannah even slept on the way home). When we asked Hannah what the Easter bunny was going to bring her - she'd tell us "eggs". Well she got lots of eggs (filled with candy of course) --- and a great many Easter baskets. Alex did good too - and loved chewing on his new toys.
Mmm...this chick tastes good!

The little princess all dressed for church.

Clearly Alex had had enough of his excersaucer.

Our attempt at a family picture...not sure that Alex and Hannah were ready.

Hannah looking for her eggs.

Thanks Dad!
